About Nashville's Weed and Feed
Nashville's Weed and Feed is a lawn treatment company serving Nashville and 64 more towns across 12 counties of Middle Tennessee — and we stake our name on how the work goes.
Weed and feed is sold as a bag and a schedule, and the schedule is written for somewhere else. Our technicians are licensed to apply what they apply, time the pre-emergent to the soil temperature here, and treat fescue and Bermuda as the different lawns they are.
What we do
- Time the pre-emergent. Applied when the soil hits the temperature crabgrass germinates at, which is a date the technician watches, not a month on a bag.
- Treat for the grass you have. Fescue and Bermuda take different products at different times, and the program is written for yours.
- Test the soil. A soil test sets the lime and the fertilizer; guessing wastes both.
What we will not do
- Spray without the license. Tennessee requires it for commercial application, and every technician of ours holds it.
- Feed in the heat. Nitrogen on fescue in July burns it; the calendar follows the grass, not the invoice.
- Promise no weeds. A treated lawn has fewer weeds, and the honest program says which ones will still need spot treatment.
What we actually work on
Lawn fertilization, weed control, and the care program that ties them together.
The lawn treatment problems Middle Tennessee homeowners bring us most often:
- Crabgrass back every summer
- Lawn thin and patchy
- Weeds returning weeks after spraying
- Brown patches spreading in humidity
- Grass that never fills back in
- Soil hard and compacted
Who does the work
Every technician on our crews works under a Tennessee Department of Agriculture charter, holds the applicator license, and is covered by liability insurance on file with us.
Beyond the paperwork, the test is how somebody handles the part of a lawn treatment job that does not go to plan — the honest call when the estimate has to change, and whether you hear about it before the work or after. The lawn treatment companies who stay with us are the ones who have passed that test on jobs we know about.
Why we do not publish reviews yet
No reviews on this site yet: a company this new has none to show, and a treated lawn is judged in June.
Where we work
Treatment routes through Nashville continue to Franklin, Brentwood, Murfreesboro, Hendersonville; the service covers 65 towns in 12 counties. Each of the main cities has its own page — what its houses mean for lawn treatment, who issues the permits, which neighborhoods are inside the run.
If you want to understand the work before you speak to anyone, our lawn treatment guide covers what drives the price, what your options are and what a badly done job looks like — written so you can judge any lawn treatment company in the region, including us.
Who we are
Behind Nashville's Weed and Feed is Michael Blair, who owns and runs it and answers for the words on its pages. Those pages draw on manufacturer labels and documentation, Tennessee code and lawn applicators’ practice, and are revised when any of that changes; each post is dated and bylined to him. Our technicians hold their licenses, carry insurance and follow each commitment listed above; Nashville's Weed and Feed vouches for every application.
Lawn treatment in Tennessee runs under a Department of Agriculture charter and applicator license rather than a contractor’s license; where a license applies, verify.tn.gov lets you check it. The certificate of insurance is yours to request before the first application, and the permit office for each town is named on its city page.
